Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arman Sakkara (ranked 3805 p4p, 4809 weight class) and Bob Smith (ranked 453 p4p, 506 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arman Sakkara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob Smith!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Smith.
Smith throws a hook but Sakkara blocks it.
Sakkara is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Smith.
Smith avoids the head kick by Sakkara.
Sakkara is looking to clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sakkara.

Smith closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Sakkara on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sakkara tries to get out of the position.

Smith is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sakkara is just riding it out for now. Smith eventually gives up the hold.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Smith cracks Sakkara with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Smith pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Sakkara tries to lock up and control but Smith gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Smith can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sakkara is looking to escape.
Smith takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Sakkara tries to lock up and control but Smith gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sakkara tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sakkara to the ground. Sakkara escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sakkara is looking to counter the offense by Smith and move into the clinch.
Sakkara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Smith takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sakkara looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Sakkara wants to stand but Smith is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sakkara looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sakkara looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sakkara!

Sakkara seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Smith is looking for a triangle but Sakkara pushes his legs off easily.
Sakkara has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sakkara got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sakkara has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sakkara tries to stand but Smith is controlling from the bottom.
Bob Smith has got the better of the ground game so far.

Smith is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Smith lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Sakkara doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
And Smith tries to counter it with a takedown but Sakkara pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Smith drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sakkara gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Arman Sakkara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Smith.
Sakkara scores with a shot to the side of Smith's head.
Smith has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Sakkara lands a nice knee to the body.

Smith takes an elbow to the temple.

Sakkara's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Sakkara pulls guard successfully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sakkara pulls Smith in close to prevent any damage.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Sakkara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sakkara has control of Smith's left arm, preventing Smith from doing any damage.
Sakkara looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Sakkara has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Smith has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Arman Sakkara dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Sakkara lands a head kick. Smith smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Bob Smith has been cut.

Sakkara lands a big head kick that sends Smith tumbling to the mat! Sakkara takes a step backwards and waves Smith back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Smith is rocked!

Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Sakkara finish him?

Sakkara has managed to clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sakkara lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Sakkara tries a body shot but Smith blocks it.
Sakkara creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Smith's defenses.
Sakkara has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Smith - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Sakkara, and another! Smith is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Arman Sakkara!
A very excited looking Arman Sakkara made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
