Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, India Best!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kapobara McDougie!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDougie lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like India Best has been cut.
McDougie looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Best avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Best tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McDougie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
As Best backs off McDougie throws a huge counter combo but Best manages to avoid it all.
McDougie jabs at Best's body.
McDougie tries to clinch there but Best circles away.
Best wants to clinch but McDougie slips to the side
and McDougie counters with a right hand to the body.

Best fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McDougie to the ground. Best is now in McDougie's guard.
McDougie wants to control but Best passes easily into half guard.
Well, if Best is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Best has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
McDougie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Best. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Best lands a big elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Best stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
McDougie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Best.
Best definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

McDougie tries to sprawl but Best drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Best stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Best closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Best gets control of McDougie's arms and successfully pulls guard. Best will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Best wants to stand up but McDougie is controlling him.
Best is controlling McDougie's posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Best looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but McDougie is defending well. Best quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! McDougie has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Best celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). India Best!
Kapobara McDougie was interviewed post fight and said 'I am diabetic! It was a hard cut, I am medically excused from this loss! No contest. . .'.
