Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Sterns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis has chosen I WILL NOT BOW as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sterns keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Davis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Davis tries to clinch but Sterns moves out of range.

Davis clinches up with Sterns and pushes him back against the cage.
Davis looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Davis is trying to trip Sterns. He has hold of a leg but Sterns is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Davis persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Davis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sterns is proving hard to escape from.

Davis is looking to work some ground and pound but Sterns has wrist control.

Sterns with shots to the head and body - Davis looks very uncomfortable down there.
Sterns lands a nice shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee warns Davis that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Sterns manages to capitalize on a mistake by Davis to take his back!

Sterns is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Davis has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Sterns has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Davis taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Sterns doesn't care though - he's delighted!
