Batt comes into the arena with Dub blaring out of the sound system. Trevena has chosen Sing For The Moment as his entrance music. King Trevena is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Batt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, King Trevena !
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batt dives in and grabs Trevena 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Trevena pushes down on Batt's head and hops out.

Batt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dylan Batt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Batt has a takedown stuffed.
Batt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Trevena circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Batt misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Batt darts in looking for a takedown but Trevena gets double underhooks and turns Batt into the cage.

Trevena goes for a takedown attempt but Batt pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
King Trevena is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Trevena leaves Batt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dylan Batt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Trevena pinned against the cage. Trevena gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Batt shoots in for a takedown but Trevena shows good takedown defense.
Batt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Trevena manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Batt looking to score a takedown here. Trevena is defending well but Batt drives through and ends up in Trevena 's guard.

Trevena is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Batt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Batt tries to free his leg and advance position but Trevena is retaining full guard.
Batt controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Batt passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Batt in side control, throwing shots but Trevena defends.

Trevena wants to control but Batt postures up.

Batt has an Americana. Trevena didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Batt is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Batt hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Dylan Batt!
An out of breath Dylan Batt thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
King Trevena was interviewed post fight and said 'Merry Christmas'.
