The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killer on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looks like Mc Killer has been cut.
Killer with a jab.
Mercado throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Killer shoots for a double leg takedown but Mercado sprawls well. He's pushed Killer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Killer throws a head kick that misses.
Killer slips a jab from Mercado.

Killer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mercado is stalling in the full guard.

Killer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mercado gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Killer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Killer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mercado wants to control from the top but Killer keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Killer can't keep his opponent in guard - Mercado advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Mercado throwing shots but Killer is blocking nicely.
Killer is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mercado scores with a couple of nice shots.

That has opened up Mc Killer's cut even more.
Mercado lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Killer quite badly. Killer pulls Mercado in close trying to recover. Mercado postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Killer on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Killer doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
