Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Punch Bag (ranked 25539 p4p, 5200 weight class) and Exotic Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 368 weight class). Bag comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Punch Bag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Exotic Winner!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bag gets caught napping as Winner dives in and scores a takedown. Bag manages to retain guard.
Winner wants to stand but Bag has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Winner trying to control the position from guard on top but Bag is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Winner would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bag keeping moving, preventing Winner from controlling successfully.
Winner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Winner won't allow Bag to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bag takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Bag will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bag has been working on his balance at Cozad MMA Tokyo, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Winner.

Winner pushes Bag up against the cage in a clinch.
Winner controlling the action here for a moment.

Winner pulls guard effortlessly.
Winner wants to sweep here but Bag controlling him for the moment.

Winner working for a triangle but Bag defends it easily.
Winner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bag. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bag preventing the sweep.
Bag throwing strikes but missing.
Bag tries to free his leg and advance position but Winner is retaining full guard.
Bag keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Winner's head.
Winner keeping moving, preventing Bag from controlling successfully.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Winner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bag is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Winner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bag as he avoids it easily.
Winner is looking to clinch but Bag is avoiding it.
Bag swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Bag slaps away a takedown attempt from Winner, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Winner looks winded!

Winner clinches up with Bag and pushes him back against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Winner stops a takedown attempt from Bag.

Winner pulls guard.
Bag is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bag wants to control from the top but Winner keeps moving.
Winner is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bag trying to control but Winner is working from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Winner wants to stand and escape but Bag is having none of it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Exotic Winner dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Winner looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bag throws a big counter combination but Winner scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Winner doesn't manage to clinch there - Bag circles away.
A lazy left from Winner finds it's target.
Winner lands with a straight right. Bag didn't see that one coming.
Bag gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Winner.
Winner shoots in and drives through. Bag sprawls well.
Bag scores with a kick to the body.

Winner fails in his attempt to clinch.
Winner is breathing heavily.
Winner tries to clinch but Bag is having none of it.

Winner gets a clinch.

Bag has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Winner avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Winner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bag displaying some good clinch control by pressing Winner up against the cage.
Winner is trying to pull guard but Bag turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Punch Bag has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Exotic Winner.
Winner lands with a left to the head.
Bag wants to take the fight to the mat but Winner manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Bag missing with knees to the body.

Winner jumps guard and drags Bag to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Bag throwing strikes from guard but Winner blocks nicely.

Winner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bag trying to control but Winner is working from the bottom.
Bag passes into half guard.
Bag is looking to take a break and control but Winner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bag connects with a nice short shot to Winner's temple.

Bag is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bag is controlling the pace.

Bag trying to pass the guard but Winner defending well.

Bag looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Winner wants to get back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Winner makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Winner.
Winner looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bag is one step ahead there.
Bag cracks Winner with a solid left hand.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bag is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Bag controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bag landing some decent shots from guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Exotic Winner will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Winner with a poor takedown
and Bag counters with a series of strikes. Winner will be more careful next time no doubt.

Bag shoots in for a double leg but Winner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bag drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Winner dives on top into guard.

Bag has control of Winner's left arm, preventing Winner from doing any damage.
Winner loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Bag has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Winner is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Bag is working for takedown but Winner is calmly controlling the position for now.
Bag comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Winner gets control of Bag's arms and successfully pulls guard. Winner will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Bag lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bag passes into half guard.
Bag looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Winner trying to control from the bottom.
Punch Bag overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bag keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Bag is trying to control the action in half guard but Winner is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bag thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Winner is looking for a sweep. Bag is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Winner pushes Bag off, looking to escape but Bag dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Winner is forced to tap! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Punch Bag!
Our winner, Punch Bag, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
