Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Hilly (ranked 734 p4p, 829 weight class) and Yka Sonni (ranked 105 p4p, 120 weight class). Hilly comes to the cage accompanied by Gary Moore - Whiskey in the Jar (Tribute to Phil Lynott) [HQ] [9/10]. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yka Sonni!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hilly connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sonni. Sonni circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Sonni throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Sonni uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hilly.
Hilly fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sonni manages to avoid it.
Sonni throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hilly stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Hilly throws a shot from downtown. Sonni moves away and avoids it.

Hilly throws a hook to the side of Sonni's head but Sonni sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Sonni feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hilly pulls Sonni in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sonni accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sonni is looking to work some ground and pound but Hilly has wrist control.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hilly pulls Sonni in close to his closed guard and prevents Sonni from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sonni throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hilly misses with a right hand
and Sonni cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sonni slips under a jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Hilly's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sonni blocks a jab.
Sonni doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hilly throws a hook but Sonni blocks it.
Hilly rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sonni counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Sonni is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Hilly with a body shot.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hilly is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hilly throws a poor cross that misses
letting Sonni counter with a right hand.
Sonni throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hilly stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Sonni drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hilly defends it well.

Hilly throws a right hand that Sonni ducks under and follows up with a left that Sonni also avoids with ease.

and Sonni counters with a takedown into side control.
Hilly tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Hilly on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hilly tries to get out of the position.
Hilly wants to hold on but Sonni pushes him away.
Sonni takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
