This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 10 losses; Scott Hall! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 40 wins and 26 losses; Rich Silva Jr!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Hall feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Silva Jr had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hall defends it easily.
Silva Jr seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Hall not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Silva Jr is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hall is pulling down on Silva Jr's head. It's preventing any offense from Silva Jr, at least for the moment.

Silva Jr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva Jr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
