The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Resina throws a sloppy head kick and Evans moves out of range easily.
Resina drops his hands momentarily and Evans takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Evans gets a takedown into half guard.
Evans is nestled in close to Resina, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Resina on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

It looks like Jonas Resina has been cut.

Evans decides to stand up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Resina feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Evans looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Resina with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Evans cracks Resina with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Resina walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Evans is looking to score with low kicks.
Evans lands with a nice combination. Resina backs away looking to recover.

Evans is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Evans is pushing down on Resina's leg trying to pass to half guard. Resina is fighting to maintain full guard but Evans has managed to sneak the leg through.

Resina has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Evans can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
