Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kauko Johan Talo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Coleman!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman shoots in for a double leg but Talo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Horrible takedown attempt by Coleman or perhaps it was just good defense by Talo, which made it look bad.
Talo feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Talo as he avoids it easily.
Kauko Johan Talo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chad Coleman.
Coleman shoots in but Talo avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown but Talo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

We've been informed that Coleman has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Coleman looking to score a takedown here. Talo is defending well but Coleman drives through and ends up in Talo's guard.
Talo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coleman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Talo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coleman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Coleman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Talo's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Talo has his foot on Coleman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Coleman works his way back into a safe position though.

Coleman wants to control from the top but Talo keeps moving.

Talo tries to get to full guard but Coleman has control of the leg.

Coleman is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Coleman winds up and cracks Talo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Coleman lands with a punch from half guard.
Talo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Coleman scores with a couple of nice shots.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Coleman connects with a nice short shot to Talo's temple.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Coleman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Coleman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Talo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Talo wants to improve his position but Coleman is controlling well.
Coleman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Talo keeps working.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Coleman lands a nice short elbow.
Coleman is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Coleman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Coleman is nestled in close to Talo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Coleman wants to free his trapped foot but Talo is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Talo is trying to control but can't.
Talo taking some punishment here, with Coleman in his half guard.

Talo is rocked!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Coleman lands a nice short elbow.
Oh Talo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Coleman controlling the position here and throwing strikes from the top. Nice elbow lands there... and another... and another... oh, Talo is out! Coleman gets to his feet and admires his work - nice finish!
