The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walsh closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Walsh decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Walsh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. James sprawls well initially but Walsh persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Walsh is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James works his way to full guard. Good work.
Walsh is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
