Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zach Leduc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pravi Hordas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leduc comes to the cage accompanied by The Spirit Never Dies. Hordas is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: U Novi Boj. Pravi Hordas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hordas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Leduc looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hordas tries for a kimura but Leduc is defending well.
Leduc is trying to improve his position.
Leduc stops Hordas from passing to mount.
Hordas looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Hordas is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Leduc has escaped the position, nice work there.
Leduc manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Leduc looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leduc tries to get to full guard but Hordas has control of the leg.
Hordas is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Leduc doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hordas.

Leduc makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Hordas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Leduc looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Leduc is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hordas has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Hordas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Leduc knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Leduc is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Leduc is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hordas is just riding it out for now. Leduc eventually gives up the hold.

Leduc thows a huge punch but Hordas dodges it nicely.

Leduc sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hordas's guard.

Leduc throws an overhand right that lands on Hordas's shoulder, as Hordas tries to avoid the shot.
Hordas shoots in for a double leg but Leduc sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hordas decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Leduc tries to get to full guard but Hordas has control of the leg.

Hordas closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Leduc did well to prevent Hordas getting side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hordas passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Leduc!

Pravi Hordas dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Leduc bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Leduc wants to get up but he can't break Hordas's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hordas is working an open guard so Leduc takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Leduc misses with a few strikes there.
Zach Leduc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hordas shoots in but no luck this time.
Leduc throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hordas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
