Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vit Sor Kaenong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Deyssem Cordem!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sor Kaenong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cordem tries to avoid it but Sor Kaenong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cordem to the ground. Cordem escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sor Kaenong clinches up with Cordem and pushes him back against the ropes.
Cordem should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Sor Kaenong jumps guard and drags Cordem to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sor Kaenong seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cordem for as long as he can get away with.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Sor Kaenong decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cordem's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Cordem drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sor Kaenong manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cordem has Sor Kaenong in his guard.

Cordem isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sor Kaenong stacks Cordem on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sor Kaenong!

I really don't envy Cordem right now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cordem has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sor Kaenong is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cordem.
