Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randal Clappertron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paavo Vayrynen!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vayrynen moves away from the strike by Clappertron.
Clappertron throws a looping overhand right but Vayrynen ducks down to avoid it.
Clappertron walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Vayrynen cracks a nice hook into Clappertron's ribs.
Vayrynen misses with a takedown attempt - Clappertron sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Vayrynen throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Clappertron cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Paavo Vayrynen has been cut.
Vayrynen doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Clappertron counters with a stiff right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vayrynen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Clappertron scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Clappertron feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Vayrynen sprawling to the canvas! Vayrynen rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Clappertron finish him?!
Vayrynen is rocked!
That has opened up Paavo Vayrynen's cut even more.
Paavo Vayrynen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Clappertron drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Vayrynen's head, knocking him out cold! Clappertron is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Randal Clappertron!
An out of breath Randal Clappertron thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
