The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne throws a right hand that misses
and Rivera counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Anthony Wayne has been cut.
Rivera throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Wayne to counter with a crisp jab.
Wayne loads up on a big right hand but Rivera slips the punch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rivera! But no joy.
Rivera blocks the body kick.
Wayne with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rivera looks to score with a jab to the body but Wayne is just out of range.
Wayne misses with a looping left.
Wayne misses with an uppercut. Rivera saw that one coming.
Nice defenses there by Wayne.
An attempted straight right counter from Wayne misses the target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wayne rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rivera counters with a nice leg kick.
Wayne throws a leg kick but Rivera sees it coming and moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rivera! But no joy.
Wayne throws a poor cross that misses
letting Rivera counter with a right hand.
Wayne misses with a double jab

and Rivera counters with a crisp right hand that drops Wayne! Rivera lets Wayne back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Wayne is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rivera lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Wayne up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Rivera from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Wayne's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
