Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ashton Chen (ranked 25219 p4p, 5890 weight class) and Bert Newton (ranked 558 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bert Newton was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Newton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Newton shoots in for a double leg but Chen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Chen seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

A big head kick from Chen and Newton is sent sprawling to the canvas!

It looks like Bert Newton has been cut.

Newton working for a triangle but Chen defends it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Newton doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Newton should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Chen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Newton is trying to keep Chen in close.

Newton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Chen tries to stand but Newton is controlling from the bottom.

Chen trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Chen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Newton on the ground.
Newton looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chen is posturing up here but Newton has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Chen tries to roll out but it's too tight and Chen has to tap! Slick submission there by Newton!
