Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pheston Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manuel Calavera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pheston Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch but Calavera swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gracie shoots in but no luck this time.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Calavera tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Calavera to the ground. Calavera escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Calavera throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.

Calavera lands with a kick to the temple. Gracie shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Pheston Gracie has been cut.
Manuel Calavera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Calavera fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gracie.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gracie crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Calavera - the referee stops the clock and Gracie gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Calavera. Gracie manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
