Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Kilburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micky McNasty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan Kilburn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Micky McNasty!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNasty throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Nathan Kilburn has been cut.
Kilburn wants to clinch up but McNasty keeps it at a distance.
Kilburn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McNasty.
Kilburn works McNasty's body with a nice hook.
McNasty keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McNasty misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick by Kilburn misses
and McNasty counters with an outside leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kilburn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McNasty moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kilburn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McNasty counters with a big head kick but Kilburn shrugs it off.
Kilburn shoots in for a takedown but McNasty shows good takedown defense.
Kilburn scores with a kick to the midsection.
McNasty looks gassed!
Kilburn wants to clinch

and McNasty counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kilburn!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kilburn is looking to improve his position but McNasty isn't that keen on the idea.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McNasty thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Kilburn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
McNasty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kilburn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kilburn tries to reverse the position but McNasty maintains control.
McNasty tries to push Kilburn's head away but Kilburn is holding on tight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McNasty avoids the attempt from Kilburn to control.
McNasty wants to control the pace but Kilburn is squirming around nicely.
Kilburn is trying to escape the mount.
Kilburn wants to control but McNasty is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McNasty thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
McNasty avoids the attempt from Kilburn to control.
McNasty tries to control but Kilburn wriggling away.
Kilburn really wants to buck McNasty off and get back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kilburn is squirming around, avoiding McNasty's attempts to control the action.
Kilburn tries to hold on but McNasty postures up.
McNasty tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kilburn swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Nathan Kilburn's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kilburn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kilburn takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Kilburn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice sprawl there from McNasty as Kilburn shoots in.
A head kick misses from McNasty.
Kilburn tries for a takedown but McNasty sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Kilburn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McNasty slips under a jab from Kilburn.

McNasty closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

McNasty thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kilburn wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McNasty decides to take the fight back to the feet.
McNasty throws a sloppy head kick

and Kilburn counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kilburn prevents McNasty from improving his position.

Kilburn stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows McNasty to get to his feet.

Kilburn throws a head kick that misses

and McNasty counters with a single leg into guard. Kilburn didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kilburn is controlling McNasty's posture.

Kilburn is looking for a triangle but McNasty pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McNasty trying to control but Kilburn is working from the bottom.

McNasty won't allow Kilburn to sweep him here.

Kilburn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kilburn trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kilburn tries to land a sweep but no joy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

McNasty closes the distance and pushes Kilburn back into the cage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

McNasty pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McNasty steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kilburn. That one must have hurt.

McNasty feints and as Kilburn raises his hands in defense, McNasty changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kilburn wants to control but McNasty passes easily into half guard.
Kilburn trying to control but McNasty postures up.
Kilburn is trying to get back to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McNasty passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kilburn!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Micky McNasty showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Kilburn takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

and McNasty counters with a big head kick but Kilburn shrugs it off.

and McNasty counters with a head kick. That will keep Kilburn thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

McNasty shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kilburn as he avoids it easily.

Kilburn fails to land the takedown.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kilburn slips a jab and a cross from McNasty.

Kilburn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kilburn trying to control the action but McNasty is working from the bottom.

Kilburn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kilburn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
McNasty is not content to let Kilburn control the position.

Kilburn swings around for an armbar but McNasty sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kilburn's guard.
Micky McNasty has got the better of the ground game so far.
McNasty not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kilburn is trying to keep McNasty in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kilburn isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McNasty stacks Kilburn on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McNasty!
McNasty staying calm.
McNasty wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kilburn keeps working.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McNasty prevents Kilburn from escaping the position.
Kilburn is looking to regain half guard here but McNasty keeps moving and retains side control.
Kilburn struggling a bit here.
McNasty wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kilburn keeps working.
Nathan Kilburn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Micky McNasty is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kilburn wants to control but McNasty postures up.

Micky McNasty comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McNasty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
