Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emerick Mulumbu (ranked 3638 p4p, 5177 weight class) and Dave Cross (ranked 428 p4p, 496 weight class). Dave Cross has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Emerick Mulumbu's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mulumbu scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Cross tries to escape but Mulumbu is in control.
Mulumbu decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cross to his feet.
Cross connects with a single shot there.
Cross scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Cross throws a series of punches but Mulumbu avoids them all with ease.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cross has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mulumbu avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Cross wants to stand but Mulumbu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mulumbu looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Emerick Mulumbu will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cross thuds a left hand into Mulumbu's body.

and Cross counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mulumbu shoots in looking for a takedown but Cross manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mulumbu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mulumbu tries to counter with a takedown but Cross is quick to defend against it.
Oh Mulumbu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cross feints a jab promting Mulumbu to slip. Cross then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mulumbu slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Mulumbu seems to have got his legs back now.
Cross lands a right hook to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mulumbu throws a body shot but no joy.
Mulumbu takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Cross fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mulumbu looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cross is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Mulumbu is trying to push Cross away but Cross has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Cross is trying to pull guard but Mulumbu has him pressed against the cage.
Mulumbu jumps guard but Cross stands there with Mulumbu around his waist. Mulumbu gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mulumbu has had enough of the clinch but Cross keeps him there for the moment.

Dave Cross showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cross lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mulumbu circles away quickly and effectively.

Cross has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cross throws a right hand that Mulumbu ducks under and follows up with a left that Mulumbu also avoids with ease.

Mulumbu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cross pinned against the cage. Cross gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A little jabbing left from Cross on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Dave Cross comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cross has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
