Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Clubber Lang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabio Oliveira!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira clinches up with Lang and pushes him back against the cage.
Lang jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oliveira walks away with a smile on his face. Lang gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Oliveira wants to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Oliveira or perhaps it was just good defense by Lang which made him look bad.
Lang shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Oliveira throws a right and a left that Lang avoids nicely.
Fabio Oliveira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Oliveira's waist but Oliveira gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lang off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clubber Lang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oliveira throws a left that rocks Lang and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Oliveira dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Lang regain composure!
Lang is rocked!
It looks like Clubber Lang has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big shot lands for Oliveira! That's hurt Lang! Will he recover? Oliveira fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
