Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kerzie Scaggs (ranked 2590 p4p, 4756 weight class) and Duke Nukem (ranked 338 p4p, 520 weight class). Duke Nukem has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scaggs throws a right and a left that Nukem avoids nicely.
Scaggs throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Scaggs uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nukem.
Nukem bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Scaggs's head.

Nukem pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Scaggs jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Scaggs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nukem moves away.
Scaggs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nukem manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Scaggs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Duke Nukem is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Nukem! But no joy.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Scaggs shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

A little jabbing left from Nukem on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Nukem throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Scaggs stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Scaggs looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Scaggs ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Scaggs no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Nukem really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scaggs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
