Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 24630 p4p, 24570 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 25 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Mibangon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mibangon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sapi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sapi shoots in but no luck this time.

Sapi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mibangon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Sapi pulls Mibangon in close to prevent any damage.
Sapi trying to control the position.
Mibangon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sapi has Mibangon pulled in close to control his posture.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Sapi tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sapi shoots for a takedown but Mibangon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mibangon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sapi misses with a takedown attempt
and Mibangon counters with a solid body kick.
Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wala Sapi.
Sapi shoots in but no luck this time.
Sapi shoots in but Mibangon avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mibangon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sapi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mibangon somewhat.
Sapi thinks about the counter body kick.
Mibangon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Sapi.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sapi.
Mibangon shoots in and drives through. Sapi sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minatay Mibangon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sapi stuffs the takedown.
Sapi slaps away a takedown attempt from Mibangon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sapi drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sapi controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mibangon has Sapi pulled in close to control his posture.
Sapi sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sapi is continuing to stall.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Wala Sapi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Mibangon darts in looking for a takedown but Sapi gets double underhooks and turns Mibangon into the cage.
And Sapi responds with a good body kick, but Mibangon manages to step out the way in time.
Mibangon tries to score a body lock takedown but Sapi shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sapi wants a takedown.
Sapi is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minatay Mibangon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sapi has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mibangon after a bit of a struggle.

Mibangon turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mibangon manages to end up in side control.

Sapi can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sapi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mibangon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Mibangon trying to control the position but Sapi is working away.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sapi is looking to regain half guard here but Mibangon keeps moving and retains side control.
Sapi can't do much from the bottom here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sapi closes the distance and clinches up with Mibangon, looking for a takedown. Sapi pushes Mibangon against the cage but Mibangon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mibangon jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Sapi thuds his shin into the meat of Mibangon's side.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sapi fails with a takedown attempt.
Mibangon is looking to counter with a body kick.
Mibangon looks for a takedown but Sapi sprawls well.
Sapi replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Mibangon blocks it well.
Mibangon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sapi changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mibangon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sapi finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Mibangon looking to score a takedown here. Sapi is defending well but Mibangon drives through and ends up in Sapi's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mibangon trying to control the position from guard on top but Sapi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sapi has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Minatay Mibangon.
I think Mibangon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
