Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carl Cafuzo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Hume!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hume lands with a straight right. Cafuzo didn't see that one coming.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cafuzo.
Hume fails to land with a series of punches.
Hume lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Cafuzo throws a leg kick but Hume sees it coming and checks it nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cafuzo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

No joy there for Hume, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cafuzo moves away from the strike by Hume.
Hume throws a shot from downtown. Cafuzo moves away and avoids it.
Hume will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Marcus Hume seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cafuzo throws out a leg kick but Hume moves out of range and Cafuzo only half commits.
Cafuzo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cafuzo motions for Hume to come forward. Cafuzo throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Hume rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cafuzo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Cafuzo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hume uses from the top position.

Cafuzo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cafuzo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hume was covering up waiting for the punch and Cafuzo finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Cafuzo has hold of Hume's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hume manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Cafuzo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hume has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hume tries to lock up and control but Cafuzo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cafuzo is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Cafuzo's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Cafuzo is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hume is defending well though. Cafuzo let's go of the attempt for now.
Cafuzo slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Hume is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Cafuzo off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Cafuzo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hume doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hume manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hume really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cafuzo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hume takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hume keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Cafuzo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hume can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Hume is wriggling around trying to escape.

Cafuzo has control of Hume's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hume regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hume is in all sorts of trouble here.

Cafuzo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hume has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hume wants to try and get back to his feet.

Cafuzo is working for a guillotine from mount but Hume frees his head quite easily.
Hume has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Will Cafuzo go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carl Cafuzo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Cafuzo has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Hume! Can he survive? No! He's out! Cafuzo gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
