These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galarza shoots in looking for a takedown. McDavid tries to sprawl out of it but Galarza keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McDavid manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McDavid dives in and scores a takedown into Galarza's guard.
McDavid connects with a couple of short punches.
