PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Humors Lacplesis (ranked 1326 p4p, 1245 weight class) and Raminus Polus (ranked 176 p4p, 163 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacplesis is looking to clinch but Polus is avoiding it.
Polus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lacplesis moves away.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Polus has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Humors Lacplesis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Polus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lacplesis tries to avoid it but Polus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lacplesis to the ground. Lacplesis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
