Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Abasi Njagi!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Love catches Njagi right on the button with a cross.
Njagi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Love is fending him off so far but Njagi persists. Nope, Love circles away and we're back to standing.
Njagi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Love as he avoids it easily.
Njagi shoots in but no luck this time.
Mason Love has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abasi Njagi.
Njagi with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Love to score with a decent uppercut.
Love lands with a hook. Njagi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Love's jab looks to have found its range, popping Njagi under the eye.
Njagi fails with the takedown.

Njagi's coach down at Gold Samurai's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Njagi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Njagi tries for a takedown but Love sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Love connects with a body shot that sends Njagi's belly button to the back.
Njagi needs to keep his hands up - Love had a free shot at his head there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Love ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Njagi looks for a takedown but Love sprawls well.

Nice uppercut lands for Love. That snapped Njagi's head back.
Love is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Njagi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Love as he jumps to the side.
Love is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Njagi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Love avoids it really well and circles away.
Love lands with a nice body punch.
It looks like Love has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Love thuds a left hand into Njagi's body.
Love ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Njagi moves away.
Njagi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Love avoids it really well and circles away.

Njagi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Love tries to avoid it but Njagi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Love to the ground. Love escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Njagi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Love just misses with a punch to the body.
Love scores with a punch to the head.
Love smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Love fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Love stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Love wants it to stay on the feet.

Love tries to sprawl but Njagi drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Njagi is working for a submission of some sort.

Njagi is looking for a kimura but Love is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Njagi to get the leverage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Love tries to roll over but Njagi keeps him under control.

Njagi in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Love tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Njagi!
