Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Maldini (ranked 2049 p4p, 2978 weight class) and Auric Gallahad (ranked 273 p4p, 385 weight class). Gallahad is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Go to War. Gallahad has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Auric Gallahad!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maldini misses with a hook
so Gallahad counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gallahad trying to control but Maldini is working from the bottom.
Gallahad looking to sit in guard and control but Maldini gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Maldini has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gallahad throws his legs up looking for a submission but Maldini uses it to pass to side control.

Gallahad tries to buck Maldini off but Maldini is having none of it.
Maldini has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Gallahad counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Gallahad trying to control but Maldini is working from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gallahad keeps trying to improve his position.

Gallahad drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Maldini manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gallahad has Maldini in his guard.

Gallahad is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Maldini pulls his head out easily.

Maldini wants to stand but Gallahad has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Maldini decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Paulo Maldini is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Maldini throws an overhand right that lands on Gallahad's shoulder, as Gallahad tries to avoid the shot.
Maldini listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Paulo Maldini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maldini cracks Gallahad with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Maldini has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gallahad to stand back up!
Gallahad is rocked!
Maldini is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Maldini throws a hook to the side of Gallahad's head but Gallahad sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gallahad is still on wobbly legs! Can Maldini finish him?
The fighters circling - Maldini throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maldini cracks Gallahad with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Maldini has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gallahad to stand back up!
Maldini moves into the clinch successfully.
Maldini's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Maldini throws a poor cross that misses
and Gallahad counters with a takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Maldini sneaks out the side door and pushes Gallahad away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Maldini throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Maldini sends Gallahad crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Maldini is motioning to the referee to let Gallahad up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Maldini throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gallahad counters with a takedown into side control.
Maldini knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gallahad on the ground.
Maldini is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gallahad has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gallahad is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Maldini has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Paulo Maldini dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Maldini drops Gallahad with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gallahad looks back up at him and smiles so Maldini waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Maldini looks to land a left hand but Gallahad moved out of range nicely.
Gallahad with the counter takedown but Maldini avoids it easily.
Gallahad seems to have recovered his senses.
Maldini swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Maldini is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Maldini drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Gallahad right on the button. Gallahad goes down! Maldini follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Maldini gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paulo Maldini!
