Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donatello Purple (ranked 4006 p4p, 4228 weight class) and Gregor Frieberg (ranked 505 p4p, 519 weight class). Donatello Purple has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donatello Purple!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gregor Frieberg!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frieberg takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Purple misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Purple really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Frieberg dives in and scores a takedown into Purple's guard.
Frieberg throwing strikes from guard but Purple blocks nicely.
Purple keeping moving, preventing Frieberg from controlling successfully.
Frieberg lands a couple of elbows.
Frieberg is working Purple over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Frieberg is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Frieberg is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Frieberg is pushing down on Purple's leg trying to pass to half guard. Purple is fighting to maintain full guard but Frieberg has managed to sneak the leg through.
Frieberg landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frieberg is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Frieberg is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Frieberg slips a nice elbow through Purple's hands, connecting with Purple's forehead.

Frieberg is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Purple sees it coming and defends easily.
Frieberg lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Purple is rocked!
Purple wants to improve his position but Frieberg is controlling well.
Purple keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Frieberg is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Frieberg missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Frieberg is nestled in close to Purple, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Frieberg is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Purple is just riding it out for now. Frieberg eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Frieberg has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Purple defend it? Frieberg steps over the head and cranks it - Purple is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Frieberg!
