Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Jcool (ranked 25073 p4p, 6131 weight class) and Taram Douglass (ranked 0 p4p, 544 weight class). Jcool comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. Taram Douglass has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Taram Douglass!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Jcool looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Douglass is fending him off so far but Jcool persists. Nope, Douglass circles away and we're back to standing.
Douglass looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Jcool misses with a takedown attempt - Douglass sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jcool looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Jcool changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Douglass tries to avoid it but Jcool manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Douglass to the ground. Douglass escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Douglass has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
