Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Marlow (ranked 5632 p4p, 3088 weight class) and Lee Kung Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lee Kung Son was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marlow tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Son was well out of range. Poor timing from Marlow.
Son takes a swing at Marlow's ribcage but misses.
Marlow misses with a two punch combination.
Son tries to clinch there but Marlow circles away.
Son lands with a kick to the temple. Marlow shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like James Marlow has been cut.
That kick from Son tenderised Marlow's leg. Marlow is trying to keep his angry face on.

Marlow closes the distance and pushes Son back into the cage.

Son is fighting to break Marlow's control of his arms but Marlow is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Marlow pulls Son in close to his closed guard and prevents Son from doing any damage or advancing position.

Son gets caught flat footed, as Marlow shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Son has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marlow can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Marlow has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Son regains guard immediately.
Son can't keep his opponent in guard - Marlow advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
