Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Matheus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Kisaragi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kisaragi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lust SIN. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jin Kisaragi!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Matheus finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Matheus is looking to clinch but Kisaragi is avoiding it.

Matheus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fight stays on the outside here - Matheus looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kisaragi shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kisaragi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Matheus manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kisaragi has Matheus in his guard.

Kisaragi throws his legs up looking for a submission but Matheus uses it to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Matheus has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Kisaragi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Matheus's waist but Matheus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kisaragi off to one side.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kisaragi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kisaragi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kisaragi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Matheus is just riding it out for now. Kisaragi eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round but I would say that Jorge Matheus will probably get the nod.

Matheus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kisaragi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kisaragi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Matheus sprawls well. Matheus wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kisaragi gets slowly back to his feet.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kisaragi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Matheus regains full guard. Nicely done.

Matheus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kisaragi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kisaragi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kisaragi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Matheus is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kisaragi, into his guard.

Matheus stands up from Kisaragi's guard - Matheus perhaps looking for a knockout.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!



Matheus forces Kisaragi back against the cage and clinches.

Matheus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Matheus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Kisaragi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Matheus had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kisaragi is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Matheus Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kisaragi's back instead.

Kisaragi drops back, looking for a kneebar! Matheus looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Matheus looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Matheus!

Matheus postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kisaragi to stand up.

Matheus gets caught flat footed, as Kisaragi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Matheus wants to sweep here but Kisaragi controlling him for the moment.

Kisaragi has gone for a leg lock! Matheus slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kisaragi's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I would just about give that final round to Jin Kisaragi.
I think Matheus has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
