Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matsu Sazuki (ranked 4160 p4p, 2444 weight class) and Chevy Iverson (ranked 530 p4p, 364 weight class). Matsu Sazuki could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chevy Iverson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sazuki closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Iverson did well to prevent Sazuki getting side control.

Sazuki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Iverson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sazuki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sazuki holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Iverson scores with a head kick. Sazuki tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Iverson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

That was a close round but I would say that Matsu Sazuki will probably get the nod.

Sazuki shoots in looking for a takedown. Iverson tries to sprawl out of it but Sazuki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Iverson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Whack! Iverson lands a heavy head kick that drops Sazuki. The ref tackles Iverson to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Sazuki was done.
