The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris tries to clinch up.
A combination from Norris does no damage.
Balboa slips a jab and a cross from Norris.
Norris misses with a wild combination.
Norris takes a swing at Balboa's ribcage but misses.
Norris will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Balboa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Norris lands with a hook. Balboa tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Balboa throws a sloppy head kick and Norris moves out of range easily.
Balboa slips a jab and a cross from Norris.
Donk. Norris catches Balboa right on the button with a cross.

It looks like Mirko Balboa has been cut.

Norris is looking to clinch.
Norris swinging wilding here.
Norris darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Balboa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Norris is fending him off so far but Balboa persists. Nope, Norris circles away and we're back to standing.
Norris fails in his attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from Balboa.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Balboa.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mirko Balboa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Norris and Balboa goes tumbling to the canvas! Norris follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Balboa is rocked!

Norris postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Balboa to stand up.
Oh Balboa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Norris gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Balboa. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Norris wants to get back to striking at distance but Balboa won't allow it.
Balboa seems to have got his legs back now.
Norris can't break the clinch.

Balboa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Balboa showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Norris.
Balboa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Norris circles away quickly and effectively.
Balboa misses with a head kick.
Balboa closes the distance looking to clinch
and Norris counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Balboa off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Norris follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Balboa was out before he hit the floor.
