PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between derek jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jadzkoz JDZ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jensen comes to the cage accompanied by renegade. On his way into the cage it seems that derek jensen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily derek jensen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jensen stuffs the takedown attempt from JDZ. JDZ gets slowly back to his feet.
jensen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

jensen gets a clinch.
JDZ can't get the takedown.
JDZ fails to pull guard.
derek jensen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jadzkoz JDZ.
JDZ tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. jensen just stands there and leans against the cage.

jensen gets control of JDZ's arms and successfully pulls guard. jensen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

jensen has his foot on JDZ's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. JDZ works his way back into a safe position though.
jensen is trying to keep JDZ in close.
JDZ trying to control but jensen is working from the bottom.
JDZ trying to stand up but can't free himself from jensen's guard.
JDZ sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed jensen's guard.

jensen tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
jensen is trying to stand up here but JDZ is controlling him well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
JDZ shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

jensen gets in close and instigates a clinch.

JDZ breaks the clinch.
derek jensen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
JDZ fails with a takedown attempt.
JDZ fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
JDZ looks gassed!

jensen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in JDZ's guard.
jensen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

jensen stands up and waves to JDZ to follow him.
jensen pulls out of a head kick attempt.

jensen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

jensen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

jensen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

jensen decides to return to a standing position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
JDZ wants to clinch up but jensen keeps it at a distance.

JDZ tries to hold on but jensen postures up.
jensen controlling the pace for now.

JDZ wants to control but jensen is having none of it.
jensen pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
jensen lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
jensen breaks from JDZ's wrist control and lands an elbow.
jensen is landing with some decent strikes but JDZ is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
JDZ throwing hammer fists to the chest of jensen. What's that going to do exactly?
JDZ is trying to escape the mount.
JDZ takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
A nice elbow there by jensen.
JDZ is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
JDZ keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
jensen in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
