Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Klinx Maxwell (ranked 3958 p4p, 3253 weight class) and James Diamond (ranked 466 p4p, 404 weight class). James Diamond looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maxwell closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Maxwell drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Diamond gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Diamond creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Maxwell is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Maxwell tries to close the distance and clinch but Diamond swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

James Diamond has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maxwell is on top in guard.
