Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Smakma Bytchup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarkko Ruutu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bytchup comes to the cage accompanied by Lunatic Fringe. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruutu has a takedown stuffed.

Bytchup tries to keep at a distance but Ruutu has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bytchup prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bytchup stalls.
Bytchup wants to break free but Ruutu has control.
Ruutu tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bytchup smiles and moves away.

Bytchup throws a nice looking combination but Ruutu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Ruutu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bytchup's waist but Bytchup gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ruutu off to one side.

Ruutu is pressed up against the cage. Bytchup has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ruutu down to the mat. Ruutu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Ruutu counters with a big head kick but Bytchup shrugs it off.

Ruutu wants to get up but he can't break Bytchup's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ruutu wants to control but instead Bytchup manages to regain half guard.
Ruutu tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Bytchup.

Ruutu is looking to stall here but Bytchup recovers full guard.

Ruutu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bytchup manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ruutu has Bytchup in his guard.
Ruutu throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bytchup trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bytchup pushing down on Ruutu's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Ruutu trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Bytchup manages to pass to mount!

Bytchup is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ruutu has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ruutu!
Bytchup will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bytchup wants to sweep but no luck.

Bytchup had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ruutu is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bytchup Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ruutu's back instead.

Bytchup seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Ruutu's chin but Ruutu turns very nicely into Bytchup's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Ruutu.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ruutu wants to get up but he can't break Bytchup's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ruutu throws and elbow that misses. Bytchup uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ruutu's guard. Nice move by Bytchup!

Ruutu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bytchup moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bytchup working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ruutu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ruutu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ruutu is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Ruutu stands and steps away. Bytchup gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Ruutu feints and as Bytchup raises his hands in defense, Ruutu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
