Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tanjro Sam (ranked 4186 p4p, 5000 weight class) and Danyul Cyrus (ranked 496 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanjro Sam has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cyrus shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sam napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sam wants to control but Cyrus postures up.

Cyrus clinches up with Sam and pushes him back against the cage.

Sam went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

It looked like Sam was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cyrus.

That was a close round but I would say that Tanjro Sam will probably get the nod.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cyrus can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tanjro Sam.
Well Sam has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
