Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Slater (ranked 1842 p4p, 2906 weight class) and Pinky Eye (ranked 247 p4p, 348 weight class). Eye has chosen Antti Tuisku - Grind mayhem as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pinky Eye!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eye shoots in looking for a takedown. Slater tries to sprawl out of it but Eye keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Slater manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Eye shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slater is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Eye won't allow Slater to sweep him here.

Eye is working for a kimura here but Slater manages to reverse the position and he's now in Eye's guard.

Eye throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Slater postures up in Eye's guard and throws a big left but Eye blocks it.

Eye wants to improve his position but Slater is controlling well.
Eye has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Slater's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Eye is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Eye is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Slater regains full guard. Nicely done.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Slater dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Slater displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Eye.
Eye tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Slater defends well and Eye ends up having to push Slater into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Eye fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Slater, pushing him back against the cage.
Slater throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Eyes head.
Eye is trying to pull guard but Slater turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Johnny Slater has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pinky Eye.
Eye jumps guard but Slater turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eye prevents a body shot from Slater.

Slater tightens his grip and picks Eye up, before dumping him to the ground. Eye manages to land in guard.
Slater connects with a couple of short punches.
Slater keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Eye's head.
Slater is working Eye over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Eye is rocked!
Slater has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Slater postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Eye is still in real trouble! Can Slater finish him?
Slater is in close to Eye's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Slater postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Eye covers up, he's hurt! Slater keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Slater and the ref steps in to end the fight! Slater can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Slater!
