PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Runcio Maloca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendrell Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen 2-Pac (Hit Em Up) as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kendrell Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Runcio Maloca has been cut.

Johnson clinches up against the cage.
Maloca is looking to control Johnson's arms but Johnson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Maloca has his back to the cage.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Maloca throws his legs up looking for a submission but Johnson uses it to pass to side control.

Maloca has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Johnson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Maloca.

Johnson throws a chopping leg kick but Maloca manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Maloca has his feet on Johnson's thighs here. He's pushed Johnson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Johnson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
