PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jorgen Kruth (ranked 1833 p4p, 2287 weight class) and Dwalin Broadaxe (ranked 155 p4p, 194 weight class). Kruth comes to the cage accompanied by Black Hole Sun- Soundgarden. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruth shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Broadaxe as he jumps to the side.
Kruth shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Broadaxe but Broadaxe pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Broadaxe feints the counter takedown.
Kruth has a takedown stuffed.

and Broadaxe counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kruth!
Broadaxe tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Kruth manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Kruth seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Broadaxe is staying active underneath Kruth, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kruth is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Broadaxe tries to get to full guard but Kruth has control of the leg.
Kruth takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Broadaxe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kruth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kruth is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Broadaxe doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kruth.
Kruth perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Broadaxe is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Kruth has latched onto it... Big trouble! Kruth pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Broadaxe is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Kruth!
