Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wee Ning (ranked 1357 p4p, 1540 weight class) and Shunsui Kyoraku (ranked 189 p4p, 210 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wee Ning !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shunsui Kyoraku!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ning jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Good exchange - Kyoraku coming out on top.
Kyoraku's coach down at PhoQus Island Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kyoraku's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ning needs to keep his hands up - Kyoraku had a free shot at his head there.
Ning dives in and scores a takedown into Kyoraku's guard.

Kyoraku wants to stand up but Ning is controlling him.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kyoraku can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ning definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Ning has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ning in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Ning is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kyoraku will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kyoraku looks to move to half guard but instead Ning has passed into mount! Damn!

Kyoraku is squirming around, avoiding Ning 's attempts to control the action.

Kyoraku is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kyoraku is bucking up trying to escape but Ning cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Ning in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
You get the feeling that Kyoraku really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Ning takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ning is landing with some decent strikes but Kyoraku is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Ning scores with a couple of good head shots there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ning blocks Kyoraku's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Ning fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kyoraku is rocked!
Kyoraku really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ning . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kyoraku is still in real trouble! Can Ning finish him?
Oooooh, big shot lands for Ning ! Kyoraku is hurt baaadly! Ning is firing away with more strikes - Kyoraku is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wee Ning !
