Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kurt Zweihander!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Jones misses with an uppercut.
Zweihander throws a leg kick that misses.
Zweihander throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jab, jab by Zweihander - just one landing.

It looks like Kim Jones has been cut.
Zweihander lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Zweihander got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Zweihander has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Zweihander is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zweihander defends it easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Zweihander pulls his head out easily.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Zweihander throws a lazy right hand but Jones sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Zweihander dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Jones counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kim Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zweihander throws out the jab.

A little feinted left hand from Jones on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Zweihander goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Zweihander is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Zweihander drops Jones with a straight right hand, right on the button! Zweihander follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
