Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Chandler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cash Cartier!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Chandler misses.
Cartier blocks a jab.
Cartier changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Chandler throws a hook but Cartier blocks it.
A slow jab from Chandler misses its intended target.
Chandler throws a lazy right hand but Cartier sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cartier motions for Chandler to come forward. Cartier throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
As Cartier looks to move away, Chandler throws a big counter combo but Cartier just gets out of the way.
Chandler throws a jab when Cartier was well out of range.
Chandler definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mike Chandler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chandler moves out of range as Cartier strikes.
It looked like Chandler was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Jab, jab by Chandler - just one landing.
Chandler connects with the punch.
Chandler lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Cartier wants to clinch up but Chandler keeps it at a distance.
Chandler throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Chandler misses with a lunging right hand
and Cartier counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cartier.
Cartier is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cartier pulls Chandler into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cartier holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chandler is sitting in close to Cartier's body. Cartier has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Chandler is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Chandler is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Cartier.
