Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sav Jobb (ranked 4383 p4p, 6268 weight class) and Yurij Stasyuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stasyuk shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jobb defends it nicely.
Stasyuk closes the distance and clinches up with Jobb, looking for a takedown. Stasyuk pushes Jobb against the cage but Jobb circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jobb shoots in and gets a takedown into Stasyuk's guard.

Stasyuk looking for a guillotine here but Jobb defends easily.
Jobb is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jobb has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jobb wants to stand but Stasyuk is controlling his posture from full guard.

Jobb controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jobb knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stasyuk on the ground.
Stasyuk lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Stasyuk is pushing down on Jobb's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jobb is fighting to maintain full guard but Stasyuk has managed to sneak the leg through.

Stasyuk is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Stasyuk looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jobb keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Stasyuk has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jobb defend it? Stasyuk steps over the head and cranks it - Jobb is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Stasyuk!

In his post fight interview, Yurij Stasyuk started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
