Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Sabrel (ranked 4468 p4p, 4547 weight class) and Max Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris Sabrel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn lands a nice hook to Sabrel's body. Sabrel takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gunn tried to score with a low kick but Sabrel checks it.
Sabrel went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Sabrel moves into the clinch.
Sabrel tries to work over Gunn's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Gunn is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Gunn is trying to force a seperation but Sabrel has the dominant position.
Sabrel is trying to pull guard but Gunn turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Sabrel lands a right hand.
Sabrel misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Gunn looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Sabrel can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Sabrel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gunn tries to break free but Sabrel pushes him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gunn wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Sabrel decides to pull guard.
Sabrel looking for a sweep. Not yet Sabrel, not yet.
Sabrel pulls Gunn in close to prevent any damage.
Gunn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sabrel is keeping the position for now.
Sabrel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Sabrel wants to sweep here but Gunn controlling him for the moment.
Sabrel lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Gunn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sabrel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gunn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sabrel defends it easily.

Sabrel stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Sabrel misses with a two punch combination.
Gunn is looking for the big counter here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gunn misses with a series of wild punches.
Gunn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sabrel.
Sabrel on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Sabrel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gunn's waist but Gunn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sabrel off to one side.
Gunn throws a right hand that Sabrel ducks under and follows up with a left that Sabrel also avoids with ease.
Sabrel shoots in looking for a takedown but Gunn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sabrel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Gunn counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sabrel is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sabrel takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Gunn misses with a series of wild punches.
Sabrel ducks right into an uppercut from Gunn.

Sabrel is rocked!
Max Gunn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gunn lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Sabrel out cold! Sabrel is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Max Gunn!
