Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steven Christie (ranked 1785 p4p, 2182 weight class) and New Breed One (ranked 132 p4p, 154 weight class). Christie comes into the arena with Amityville blaring out of the sound system. Steven Christie could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to New Breed One's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Christie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, New Breed One!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Christie misses with a straight left.
One tries to clinch there but Christie circles away.
One has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

One feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
One trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
One is fighting to break Christie's control of his arms but Christie is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Christie has his feet on One's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

One feints and as Christie raises his hands in defense, One changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Christie manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

One is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Christie is defending well.
Christie has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. One avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
One changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Christie fights it off and pushes away nicely.

One has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Christie after a bit of a struggle.
Steven Christie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New Breed One.
One goes for a takedown attempt but Christie pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Christie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks One with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

One has his foot on Christie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Christie works his way back into a safe position though.

One doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Christie counters with a huge left! One is in big trouble! He's backing up but Christie isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save One from any more damage. A dominating finish by Christie!
