The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King lands with a shot to the body.
De Lima misses with a takedown
and King counters with a straight right hand.
De Lima shoots in and drives through. King sprawls well.
De Lima takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
De Lima shoots in looking for a takedown but King manages to keep the fight standing, pushing De Lima's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helio De Lima. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
De Lima takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

De Lima shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. King is trying to defend but De Lima finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

De Lima is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
King wants to control but De Lima is keeping busy.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. De Lima connects with a nice short shot to King's temple.
De Lima looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks King with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
De Lima seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but King does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
