The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Atkins avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Atkins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bowers misses with a few strikes there.

Bowers pushes Atkins off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Atkins darts in looking for a takedown but Bowers gets double underhooks and turns Atkins into the cage.

Bowers is trying to get back to his feet but Atkins has full control of the position and if anything, Bowers has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Bowers is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Bowers is trying to get back to his feet but Atkins has full control of the position and if anything, Bowers has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Bowers is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
