The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lavigne tries to bum rush Kid with a series of wild strikes but Kid uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lavigne throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kid is defended easily by Lavigne.
Lavigne throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kid.
Lavigne throws a body shot but no joy.
Lavigne avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lavigne throws a sloppy head kick
enabling Kid to counter with a crisp jab.
Kid definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kid has a takedown stuffed.
Lavigne misses with an uppercut. Kid saw that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lavigne connects with a single shot there.
Gervais Lavigne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lavigne connects with a leg kick.
Lavigne lunges at Kid with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kid's hand.

Kid is rocked!
Lavigne ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Kid's jaw. Kid's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Lavigne does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
