The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Lo with that takedown attempt.

Regueiro clinches up against the cage.

Regueiro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Regueiro misses with a head kick.
Lo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Regueiro sprawls and moves away.
Regueiro misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Lo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Regueiro moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Regueiro keeping full guard, as Lo tries to pass.
Regueiro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lo is one step ahead there.

Lo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lo tries to free his leg and advance position but Regueiro is retaining full guard.
Lo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Regueiro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lo defends well.

Regueiro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've been hearing good reports from Lo's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Lo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Regueiro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lo is one step ahead there.

Lo seems to be working for a kimura but Regueiro defends the submission attempt.

Lo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Lo is looking for a kimura but Regueiro is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lo to get the leverage.

Regueiro is trying to maintain the position but Lo is very close to passing his half guard.

Lo wants to work for an arm triangle but Regueiro is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
